U krijgt in Makasutu een prachtig stukje natuur te zien Dit wordt ook wel de  “de jungle” van The Gambia genoemd. U kunt zelfs als u dat wilt uw toekomst laten voorspellen door een Marabout die hier in de jungle woont.

Vanaf deze uitkijktoren hebt u een schitterend uitzicht over Makasutu.

U komt onderweg hele bavianenfamilie’s en schitterende vogels tegen.

Na een wandeling door de prachtige natuur maakt u een boottocht met een piroque langs de mangroven; een ideale plek om vogels te spotten.

Makasutu heeft ook een aantal winkeltjes met Afrikaanse kunst.

Er wordt een demonstratie palmboomwijn tappen gegeven. U krijgt de gelegenheid om de verse palmboomwijn te proeven. Na deze demonstratie mag u proberen om zelf de palmboom te beklimmen.

Na afloop wordt er een bezoek gebracht aan een compound waar een heerlijk lokaal gerecht wordt geserveerd die op Gambiaanse wijze wordt gegeten.  Hier beleeft u het echte leven van de Gambianen. (Alles wordt met flessen water schoongemaakt. U loopt dus geen risico’s op ziekten)

MAKASUTU FOREST

In combination with a visit to a compound  Makasutu you will see a beautiful piece of nature. This is also called “The Jungle” of The   Gambia. Even if you want, you can have your future predicted by a Marabout who lives here in the jungle. You will encounter entire  baboon families and beautiful birds. After a walk through the beautiful nature you will take a boat trip with a piroque along the mangroves; an ideal place for bird watching. Makasutu also has a beautiful bar where you can relax. There is also an impressive watchtower where you can see the entire area. A demonstration of palm tree wine taps is also given. You will have the opportunity to taste the fresh palm tree wine. After this demonstration you can try to climb the palm tree by yourself. Afterwards a visit is made to a compound where a delicious local dish is served that is eaten in the Gambian way. Here you can experience the real life of the Gambians. (Everything is made with bottles of water, so you are not at risk of diseases)

Si combinas la visita a un complejo de Makasutu, verás un hermoso trozo de naturaleza, también llamado “La jungla” de Gambia. Incluso, si lo deseas, puedes hacer que un marabout que vive aquí en la jungla te prediga el futuro. Verás familias enteras de babuinos y hermosas aves. Después de un paseo por la hermosa naturaleza, harás un viaje en bote con una piragua por los manglares; un lugar ideal para observar aves.
